I’m not being mean

Of course. I don't think color should have anything to do with the music you listen too. If someone tells you otherwise that's kinda stupid. I mean black people aren't stopped from listening to stuff like country music.

How about if it says the N word?

Rap is secular music just like today's hits or any other genre. You should be able to listen to whatever you wish. I know and meet PLENTY of white people who listen to it and blast it in their car XD. Literally everyone in their vanicity can hear it.

I know. Your fine as well, I don't take offence to stuff like that. I'm not racist or offended with white people like most blacks are now and days. Lol I find it stupid really. But to answer your question...

But people at school are saying i can’t listen to it becuz of the N word…

I don't see it as a problem either. Black people get offended easily when a non-black person call them the N word. But if you actually hang around them daily they call themselves it and other black people too so it doesn't matter. I think they just want to find something to be offended about.

For me. I don't listen to explicit music, and I wouldn't encourage others to listen to it as well. But it's really your choice. But I don't think you should not listen to it because your white and it has the N word. Many songs have curse words in it and people still listen to it. It's no different than a song calling girl B's

If they tell you that. If say then why listen to many of today's hits like 7 rings....where she's calling her girl B's.....like...you don't see girls getting offended. They're singing along with it. And no one can stop you from listening to what you want. If they have a problem with it either they can leave or be quiet.

If you like the song then hey. You do you. But don't let someone else's opinion change your thought on it. Now if they know that you shouldn't be listening to it and you know they are being honest and you shouldn't. Then maybe you shouldn't. But,if that's just how they feel cause your white....boy...ignore them. I'm pretty sure they listen to stuff too.

It depends on how you use it in context really. I asked a couple of my fam (don't worry I didn't bring you up or get specific) what they think and they said it's okay for you to listen to it. But you can't like, say the actual word. Because of "how white people use it in context."

Still just to remention...I don't listen to explicit music and i do not and will not recommend others to as well. Even if it is an explicit song I strictly keep all my playlists to clean music. Even if I have to find a clean version of the song.

I've given you my opinion, so whatever you decide it is completely your choice. ❤️

Some kids dared me to say it, I said I’m not saying that I’ll get beat up by black people so no, they said “you such a disappointment Justin” but I will never say it even though someone dares me too it ain’t gonna happen
TheCooki3Cat
TheCooki3Cat
Yes, don't say it...and I'd probrably think about if your friends are really good for you because I don't think they should be making you do that. And I wish I could say oh don't worry but many people aren't like me and most black people get easily offended and will try to hurt you.

Me,I just don't care. If you say it around me i wouldn't care less. If someone said it to me then that's a different story.
