The ear can depend to be very sensitive towards other clothing material.
In this case, your hoodie is either made out of cotton or wool, meaning that it's warm, correct?

So it can depend on the ear affecting your head. Say that you've been wearing your hoodie for a long time, you start to feel heat around you plus the extra layer of heat on you with the hoddie combined

The ear sends out signals to your head (it also depends if your ears are sensitive), giving some kind of heat message onto your head

Heat particles are transfer to your head, making your head hotter than what it should be.
