all your questions are indeed interesting, childrens
i believe alone, i would not take the chance to be immortal. i would never want to see my friends and family die while i age in a different way. i would not want that
on the other side, i could use it to my advantage; i could become a doctor and help dangerously contagious patients and find a cure for them. or i could spend my life with the one i love
i think there are reasons for both sides. both choices could be perfect depending on character and state of the world, but personally, i think i would stay human
mHmMhm very interesting answer Childrens
I completely agree with you!
So there could be three ways in the future, to become immortal!
1) Scientists create a potion which stops your ageing.
It means that you will always look like the same and your organs will stop growing, just as your brain will.
But it won't make you invincible, so you can still die from diseases and other things that our body can't resist.
A death can also occur when your brain is full.... Because when you will live until the end of time... our brain will.. be ... full at some time and it will probably kill you
2) We manage to exchange body parts that don't work anymore with robot or let's say mechanical engineering!
So we will become cyborgs!
Here the problem is that you can't exchange the brain, since we would need to copy all the data inside of it so we know at the end that we are the person that we used to be.
3) But this can be solved with the 3rd opportunity!
We could upload all the data in our brain into a SD-card or in a super computer! Then we would live forever and we could upload all the data to a robot and live in that body.
When the SD-card breaks.... you don't have to worry, because you have 4 others.
The reality will be that you have TOO much time!
Time will lose it's meaning and relevance and everyone will start doing things slower, because... why hurry? I have enough time. You will reach all your goals and will lose interest in life, because at some point of time... you will have done everything, so what is left?
