nah maths is more complex than that
-1 - -1 = 0
-1 + -1 = -2
-1 - 1 = -2
-1 + 1 = 0
it all depends on the number lol
sometimes negatives will just equal to another negative
other times it'll make a positive
and vice versa

In Addition or Subtraction, this would actually make a bigger negative I think
