It does since in the book, Hannah describes a "snowball effect" since the problems get bigger and bigger up until she ends her life.

Ah, right, I guess that makes sense. So is the series quite similar to the book or does it change a lot of the stuff?

Actually, the series changed a lot of stuff, in the book, it is less graphic and mature.

The series is much more graphic and more cursing.
We are halfway through the book, and Tomarrow we got a test on it rip.

And nope, I'd like to watch it but we don't have Netflix .-. It seems like a really well-made series
