NASA news (confirmed!)

Once an asteroid enters Earth's atmosphere, it will burn since the air will compress it really quickly. It causes the asteroid to burn down. Don't panic, the one that killed the dinosaurs are much bigger than the one that is coming for us lol :)

Well idk about that but I don't think scientists would destroy Mars to save ourselves and I don't think there is a possible way to move the asteroid to make it hit Mars

If they did move it to hit Mars I think it will disrupt our Solar system and possibly debris from Mars will hit us (This is totally my Hypothesis which is probably wrong)

P.S If there was a Nuclear Bomb that could destroy the bomb it would make the situation worse cause it would most likely cause it to fracture into several pieces and large pieces of an even larger asteroid can still be pretty dangerous if they're hurtling toward the Earth
